Orthotics East Ltd. was the first Pedorthic clinic in Nova Scotia, opening in 1985 and has been providing services to Atlantic Canadians since that time. We have full pedorthic services including custom made foot orthotics, orthopaedic footwear, comfort footwear and sandals and athletic footwear. We provide orthopaedic modification and lifts or raises to footwear and custom made orthopaedic footwear.
Orthotics East Ltd. has a very high standard of practice and places a very high emphasis on certification and continuing education. We have a well rounded pedorthic staff with expertise in numerous varying medical conditions including; arthritics, diabetics, geriatrics, pediatrics and sport medicine. It has been long established that foot posture has a significant influence on overall posture and impacts optimal biomechanics in locomotion. We believe that posture and relief of related pain can be significantly improved with appropriate foot orthoses and proper fitting footwear. As such, our slogan is, “I Stand Corrected” .
Education for our patients and clients is very important and we spend time educating each client on proper shoe fit, as well as about their specific condition and how pedorthic therapy can be applied to them.
